It’s because they don’t know what it’s like to have a stalker in real life & just see it always portrayed positively in media so they don’t truly understand why it’s really creepy behavior.

yeah seriously – like i’ve spoken to people who watch the show that have been victims of stalking and Sun’s actions match similarly enough to their experiences that it made them very uncomfortable over the whole thing

like the actions are just uncomfortable to watch when you put it in the actual context and remove that Sun is written as ‘comic relief’ and so never experiences real consequences for his actions, but knowing that victims of real life stalking find it maps to their experiences? that makes it so much worse
